Eu sunt sceptic. Nu pot sa comentez public motivele, dar cred ca sansele ca in RO sa avem un MVP de FoxPro sunt extrem de reduse. Oricum, merita incercat. Eu am scris un mail cu ceva timp in urma, pe care nu l-am trimis niciodata (il am si acum in drafts). Iata-l (datele numerice sunt de la data cand am scris mail-ul):

My name is Grigore Dolghin, owner of www.profox.ro, the Romanian Visual FoxPro programmers community website. I'm writing this mail in behalf of this community.

In Romania we have several MVPs. However, Visual FoxPro community is the most consistent and has the fastest growing rate at this moment. It has started 5 years ago as a Yahoo! mail group, and got its own website this summer, on July 16. Microsoft Romania joined in this effort and now they are sponsoring the site hosting.

In 4 months we've got 352 users (at the moment of writing), about 2000 unique visitors per month (I have logs and statistics to prove my words), and about 2500 technical messages on forum. I'd like to compare this activity with www.ronua.ro (.NET users community) - 1 year of activity with 400 users, 1006 messages, and www.itboard.ro (IT security experts community) - 148 users and about 1000 messages.

We are the fastest growing community, which provides the most accurate technical content supporting a Microsoft product. However, the other communities have MVPs, which are invited to conferences abroad where they have the chance to learn, the communities get support and technical materials and there is virtually no event without ITBoard or Ronua presence.

We've been the black sheep for too long. I'd like to ask you an MVP position for Visual FoxPro in Romania. We are doing a hell of a job (ask someone to translate some of the threads. I can also send you the entire written history of this community technical support - about 8,000 messages originating from the yahoo group, to prove my words).

Please, consider this as a very serious request. I am the leader of this community and I will make sure the nominee will receive all the spotlights. Visual FoxPro is widely used in Romania (almost ever bank and every state institution use it), and also Romania, along with some few other countries in Eastern Europe has a special attention from Microsoft. We are just asking what we, in our opinion, deserve. We would like to be considered as a community as good as others here, nothing more, nothing less.

I am waiting an answer, please. Any answer is better than silence.
